On July 23, 2001 the certification process for FCC Part 68 has been moved to the private sector. Below is the support documentation / location of developing a Supplier's Declaration of Conformity for your Company's terminal equipment. Three main documents developed by the Telecommuincations Industry Association (TIA) is used as test and labeling procedures for Telephone Terminal Equipment. These documents should become available free to the public for download on the ACTA Web Site.

US: Is a fixed field that indicates the equipment meets all requirments of 47 CFR Part 68 (Including the requirements published by ACTA).
AAA: Is the respnsible party's Grantee Code obtained previously from the FCC's Common Carrier Bureau or currently from ACTA.
EQ: Is an Equipment Code indicating to the Serivce Provider any special signal handling or billing requirements.
##: is the Ringer Equivalence Number with a decimal point (e.g. REN of 1.0 = 10, REN of 0.3 = 03).
T: is the ringer type letter associated with the Ringer Equivalence Number, in accordance with the technical requirements. Devices without analog ringing supplied shall use N in this field.
XXX: is a product identifier, unique when combined with the responsible party's Grantee Code.
